Sean Murray

Sean joined MaCC in March 2024 and holds the role of Geotechnical Technician. He has a professional background as a Police Officer, having worked for the New Zealand police for 15 years. He held roles of Prosecution Case Manager, Detective, Forensic Photographer and General Duties Constable. Sean draws on experience from the application of law and regulations, scene examinations and detailed note taking to producing thorough site inspections, soil investigations and reporting. Sean is process driven and enthusiastic about applying his unique skill set to provide an efficient and high-quality service.

 

Sean moved his young family to Cambridge in 2022 seeking a career change and balanced lifestyle. Sean loves his new home in the Waikato and has been enthusiastically retraining in the field of Geotechnical Engineering

Sean enjoys spending time with his young family and exploring Waikato. He is also keen cyclist, regularly competing in Te Awamutu club races, venturing out on the trails on his mountain bike and hitting the track at Cambridge velodrome.
