Liam McCaffrey

Liam is an experienced civil engineer with more than 15 years’ experience in construction, design, project management and asset management. He has a proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams for large scale and complex land development and public infrastructure projects. Having worked in New Zealand, Singapore and Australia, Liam has a broad knowledge of technical design, and is able to apply this for problem solving across all project stages from conceptual phase through to construction support and ongoing maintenance.

Liam has extensive geometric design experience and is an accomplished 3d designer using 12d modelling software.  He is a specialist in master planning of developments taking consideration of roading networks, earthworks, stormwater management, and project interfacing.  He has a sound knowledge of local authority process and procedures and is effective in working with others to collaborate and seek successful outcomes.

Born in the township of Cambridge Liam was born and raised in the Waikato and is currently living in Hamilton with Melissa (his wife) and two girls; Mille and Eden.  Liam used to play sport in his younger days but now is better suited to leisure activities like swimming and golf.

When he is not busy designing roads and subdivisions Liam dabbles as amateur musician and is known to play a bit of Irish music (when he has had enough Guinness).
