Justine Checketts

Justine is a Senior Civil Engineer with a background in civil and roading construction site based work.

Justine completed a BE (Civil) at Auckland University and over the following 16 years she has worked on large construction projects for high profile construction companies throughout NZ and in London. As a Site/Project Engineer Justine worked on a range of disciplines that large projects offer including network drainage, retaining walls, bridge widening, sign gantry installations, pavement construction and utility service installations.

In 2010 Justine worked as a Quality Engineer on the Taupo Eastern Arterial project, it was here where she found her passion which is working on and being involved with project oversite, right from the sod turning through to the finishing touches.  Other key roles included Quality Manager on the Te Rapa Bypass and the Tauranga Eastern Link projects. Justine also established the Quality management team at the Huntly expressway project before taking maternity leave. Justine is passionate about completing Projects on time and to the right quality standard. Justine has good communication skills and is able to work with the construction team to ensure successful construction and delivery for the Client.

Justine spent the last 7 years as a full time mum to her 3 young boys enjoying Playcentre and volunteering as a Cub leader. Justine and her family enjoy the great outdoors and get out camping, tramping, skiing as often as possible.
